Burlington International Airport (BTV) is the closest airport to UVM, only a 10 minute drive from central campus. It is a very small airport, so most likely you will also have a connecting flight. From the airport, you can get to UVM's campus using the local Green Mountain transit #11 bus.
By Bus
To get to Burlington by bus, you can travel via Greyhound Buses, Megabus/DATTCO, or Breakliner Buses. These coach buses will often take you to the heart of Burlington, dropping you at the Downtown Transit Center.

Once you are in Burlington, the local Green Mountain Transit buses run on a frequent schedule and can take you just about anywhere in Burlington!
By Train
Burlington is serviced by two Amtrak lines: the Vermonter and the Ethan Allen Express.
The Vermonter travels from Essex Junction, VT (a 15 minute drive from UVM) to Springfield, Hartford, New Haven, NYC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington DC. From Essex Junction, the Green Mountain Transit #2 bus can take you to UVM.

The Ethan Allen Express travels from the Burlington Station to NYC. The station is under 1.5 miles from UVM, to which you can take the local Green Mountain Transit #1 bus.
