Oral Presentations Format​​

  • Long Talks

    • All long talks are allocated 20 minutes, plus 5 minutes for Q&A.​

  • Short Talks

    • Allocated 8 minutes, plus 2 minutes for Q &A​

    • Speakers giving short talks are also encouraged to bring a poster to present.

  • Lightning Talks
    • Allocated 5 minutes with no time for Q & A.

    • Speakers giving lightning talks are also encouraged to bring a poster to present

 

Oral Presentation Logistics

  • Presentations (other than the Keynote) will be given in the Billings-Ira Allen Lecture Hall (48 University Place)

  • All presentations should be in a PowerPoint format.

  • Please bring your presentation on a USB drive.

  • Presentations for each day will be loaded onto the computer in the Billings-Ira Allen lecture hall during breakfast (8 am in the MLK room, next door to the lecture hall).

  • There will be two lavalier microphones available in the space.

 

Poster Format

  • Poster Size

    • It is recommended that posters be 24 inches x 36 inches

    • However, the boards to which posters will be attached for presentation are 40 inches x 60 inches and therefore can accommodate posters of a larger size if preferred. ​

    • You may choose either a landscape or portrait format.

 

Poster Logistics

  • Poster Set-Up​

    • Posters can be set-up on the easels in the Sugar Maple Ballroom on the 4th floor of the Davis Center at 7:45 pm following the opening reception and keynote presentation on Monday, June 3, 2024.​

      • The reception will take place in the same building so you may want to bring your poster with you to set up afterwards.​

    • Sugar Maple Ballroom will also be accessible all day Tuesday (starting at 8 am), so posters can also be set up prior to the first speaker session (starts at 9 am) or during lunch.

    • Pins will be provided for attaching the posters to the boards on the easels.

  • Poster Session​

    • The poster session will run from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.​

    • Odd-numbered posters will be presented from 3:30-4:15 pm.

    • Even-numbered posters will be presented from 4:15-5:00 pm.

    • 5:00-5:30 pm will be free for all to mingle and present to those who may have missed their poster earlier in the session or were in the same presenter group.​

  • Poster Break-Down​

    • Posters will need to be removed after the Poster Session the evening of Tuesday, June 4, 2024.​
